Sustainability becomes increasingly more important for businesses with every passing day. The planet’s resources are limited and diminishing, leaving business owners and operators with the need for ways to make positive change. Not only are companies being held accountable for their consumption of resources, but a company’s sustainability efforts are impacting consumer behavior. Many customers are now being driven to bring their business to companies that are making an effort in reducing their carbon footprint.
Improving and increasing sustainability practices used to be a topic that was often glanced over as a “nice to have” and less as a necessity. The days of ignoring these initiatives are over. Businesses becoming more sustainable is becoming an industry standard and is certainly not going away anytime soon.
Energybox has recently launched a refurbishment program to reduce E-waste!
During the process of transitioning and upgrading our customers’ systems, the team has developed a way to recycle and repurpose our devices. All of these pieces are cleaned, tested, and are then updated to our most recent software. They are then repackaged to be used at a customer site to be given a second life.
This initiative allows us to increase hardware life and reduce e-waste. Less than 20% of e-waste is formally recycled, and 80% of ends up in a landfill. Our mission is to automate our customers’ facilities and processes to save energy, reduce costs, and improve sustainability and this is just one of the many ways that we can make positive change. We’re excited to share that we have opened our new US headquarters office in Nashville, Tennessee as well as a new Germany headquarters office in Cologne, Germany!
As our team continues to grow, our spaces need to do so as well. We are officially moved into our new offices and are happy to have new places to call home. They are both exciting environments and we cannot wait to see how the company continues to thrive in them.
